That's what I'm wondering about. I really liked the way he hung in the pocket; I think it brought out Matt's brilliance.
Are they thinking this is a return to form? If so, they will have to account for the sonic space occupied by Danny.
I guess I'll wait to hear what they sound like with the new guy, but I'm perplexed. You can't really go back. If you watch old Youtube stuff with Woody, it is much less nuanced than the stuff from the most recent era. By staying in the pocket, andy gave the other musicians space.
I guess we'll see.

Yeah, what about ANDY! After 5 years they are trying to compare Andy and new guy somewhere in between Woody. How unfair. Good Luck to the new guy and the new MULE-he will never fill those shoes. Andy Hess thank you for 5 years to keep MULE going. Thanks Mule for letting everyone know Andy's last show was gonna be 1 set out west. Glad I didn't buy any fall tour tickets. Keep Rehersing Jorgen'

Interesting that Greg Rzab isn't in there. I liked him during the "rotation" period a few years back. Hell, call George Porter, Jr. and Dave Schools and let's have ourselves a big ol' time, y'all!
All the best to the new guy. I can't believe people are bitching about his scarf, for crying out loud, Mule's always been ugly, let's not get all image conscious now. HAHAHAHAHA

So what happened 2 andy. I've seen the mule since dec 96. Loved woody. The revolving thing was okay. The library of tunes was minute compared 2 what the could play with andy. The beacon new years cover show was probably my favorite. I don't understand how warren had time to hang out and jam with Jurgen over the last 6 months. He seemed to b on the road most of this time. I wish the Mule would give more details of andy's resignation. Did he get sick of seeing Warren bust out of his jeans? Was there some drug usage going on with Warren or Matt that he didn't want 2 b part of? Or did he have a problem? I've spoken with Danny many times over the past few years. He seems to b the most sober 1 of the bunch. I'm going 2 the tower show next week. If this guy doesn't get the job done I'm done. I saw Danbury, Stone Pony, and Penns peak in August. 3 rippin' shows. Never seen a really bad mule show. Hope 2 not be let down next friday. Anyone with any info on Andy I would love 2 hear. Peace.

Wow,
My hat is off 2 warren and the boys. The Tower show was excellent. I can't wait 2 c them in CT. When the music's over just blew me away. Dear prudence was equally impressive. Jorgen sounds great. peace and great music.

Thanks to Warren and the guys for keeping it real. My love for this band is elastic. It stretches to include each line-up change and new interpretation of classic material. The band must breathe and contract to keep living. Long Gov't Mule!!
